Code of Conduct

ABC Volleyball adheres to the Code of Conduct established by NOC*NSF for sports coaches and endorsed by the national sports associations (see also https://centrumveiligesport.nl/gedragscode-voor-trainerscoaches-en-begeleiders).

The safe sports protocol sets out the guidelines for a pleasant, healthy and safe sports environment within ABC Volleyball. The desired behavior is laid out in the ABC Volleyball Code of Conduct, which states:

  • I accept and respect others as they are and do not discriminate; everyone counts within the club.
  • I respect the boundaries set by others.
  • I do not bother others or cause harm to others.
  • I do not abuse my position of power in any way.
  • I do not ask inappropriate questions or make unwanted comments about anyone's personal life or appearance.
  • If someone bothers or harasses me, I will ask them to stop. If that doesn't help, I ask someone else for help.
  • I will help others adhere to these rules and will address anyone who doesn't comply, reporting this to the board or a confidential counselor if necessary.

These rules apply to all (prospective) members, honorary members, as well as our trainers, coaches, volunteers, visiting clubs, and spectators.

These rules of conduct and etiquette have been drawn up by the board of ABC Volleyball in collaboration with its confidential counselors.

We will submit this code of conduct to the members for approval during the General Members' Meeting (ALV) on September 9, 2025.

You can find these rules of conduct here.
